OnePlus Goes Big With The 6
OnePlus, has been releasing phones for over 4 years now. Their latest device, the OnePlus 6 had over 1 million devices sold in just one month. OnePlus has lived up to its motto, “Never Settle” and “Flashship Killer” ever since they first launched as a company.
OnePlus devices have been known to pack for a much cheaper price than its competitors. They have always had the highest grade materials and a loyal consumer base. The OnePlus 6 comes with upto 8 GB of RAM (random-access memory) and 256 GB of internal storage and starts at just $530. It also comes with a 16 megapixel and 20 megapixel dual camera setup. Along with an amazing camera, it also has a headphone jack and is water resistant.
Being a OnePlus 2 user, I have been watching the company grow. From the OnePlus One to their latest device, they have constantly been getting feedback from their users and implementing them into their smartphones. Unlike most companies, OnePlus releases two smartphones a year. Their reasoning is that, not only software should be updated as soon as its available for the public, so should hardware. Although some people may not want to have to upgrade their device every 6 months, OnePlus just wants to offer new technology as soon as they discover it. In previous models, OnePlus took multiple months to sell one million devices. The OnePlus 6 was much different as they sold more than one million in less than one month.
The OnePlus has one of the largest screen to body ratios at close to 85%. It also hosts a 1080p AMOLED display. This ensures better colors and darker blacks. OnePlus has worked its way up and has really started competing big brands like Apple, HTC, and Motorola.
As OnePlus becomes more and more of a flagship killer, it also means they will have more and more customers using their devices. The OnePlus 6 was a big step for them, but surely one that was worth it.
